The season was announced on the 15th of May, and sign ups would soon follow.
Twists[]
- Blood vs. Water - For the first time, pairs of contestants, each with a pre-existing relationship, will compete. Contestants are competing individually, so they will remain in the game even after their loved one is voted out.
- Special Idol - An idol with special powers is hidden at the merge tribe camp. The special idol's powers will not be revealed until after the season concludes.
- Delayed Merge - The merge occurred with nine castaways remaining.
